International Christian Embassy Jerusalem

Mission
For over twenty-five years the ICEJ has embarked upon a journey of giving comfort to Israel. This journey has involved deeds and compassion and every town, village and city has been impacted, in some way, by our benevolence ministry that has helped the poor, healed the sick, housed the lonely, encouraged the children and cared for the elderly.

Our Feast of Tabernacles celebration has impacted more than a hundred thousand Christians with the biblical perspective of recognizing the hand of God in Israel’s modern day restoration and the need to work with what God is doing, and bless it. As I have written before, we are thankful to God for His faithfulness. We have not done our work perfectly but we have done it sincerely. “The Day” at the judgment seat of Christ will determine its real value! Of this too we are most mindful and so should we all be!!

Objectives
Comfort….To show concern for the Jewish people and the reborn state of Israel “Comfort, comfort My people, says your God.” (Isaiah 40:1)

  • Pray….To encourage Christians to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the land of Israel and the Jewish people. “You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest till He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” (Isaiah 62:6-7)

  • Inform….To provide up-to-date information to Christians concerning the Land and the people both in Israel and in the diaspora. “…for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 2:3)

  • Regather….To be part of God’s great purposes in bringing the Jews back to Israel. “See, I will beckon the Gentiles, I will lift up my banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders.” (Isaiah 29:22)

  • Assist….To provide practical social assistance to the needy. “For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.” (Romans 15:27)

  • Reconcile….To build bridges of reconciliation between Jew and Arab. “…Blessed by Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.” (Isaiah 19:25)

History
During the late 1970s the Lord began stirring the hearts of believers across the world concerning the nation of Israel and its prophetic role in modern times. Then, in the summer of 1980, the Israeli Parliament declared the city of Jerusalem to be the undivided, eternal capital of the State of Israel, established as such by King David almost 3,000 years earlier. Protest resounded across the international political spectrum, resulting in the closure of all thirteen national embassies in Jerusalem.

A number of Christians living in Israel were then hosting a Christian celebration during the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles. They sensed Israel's deep hurt over the withdrawal of the foreign embassies and felt the call of the Lord to open a Christian Embassy in this, the City of the Great King. They called it the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem and it represents Christians from around the world, speaking words of comfort and support to Israel. Ever since, the Embassy has provided a "servant's heart" ministry to the people of the land.
