Mission and History
With every
passing day, the threats to Israel and the
Jewish people are growing. Iran’s President
has called for Israel to be “wiped off the
map” -- and he is rapidly acquiring the
nuclear technology to carry out this
threat. The terrorist group Hamas – also
committed to destroying Israel -- won the
Palestinian elections taking control of the
government and its armed security forces.
Millions of
Christians across America have a deep love
for Israel and the Jewish people and want to
stand with them during these difficult days.
Until recently, this broad-based affection
had little influence in Washington.
Christians have never before come together
to focus on the specific issue of Israel and
the threats to Judeo-Christian civilization
from radical Islam until now.
In February,
2006, Pastor John Hagee decided the time had
come to create a national grassroots
movement focused on the support of Israel.
He called upon Christian leaders from across
America to join him in launching this new
initiative. Over 400 Christian leaders –
each with his own megachurch, television
ministry, or publishing company – answered
the call. Christians United for Israel was
born.
Within a few
short months, CUFI has emerged as one of the
most important Christian grassroots
organizations in America. Over two thousand
constituents have registered to attend
CUFI’s DC Summit in July, 2006 and many
thousands more have signed up to participate
in CUFI’s e-mail network. CUFI has only just
begun.
CUFI
has 2 main objectives:

To Influence Washington.
Every year, CUFI will hold an annual
Washington summit to enable CUFI members
to personally speak with their elected
representatives on behalf of Israel. At
critical junctures throughout the year,
CUFI members will be mobilized through
Rapid Response Alerts to generate
millions of phone calls and e-mails
requesting action for Israel from the
Administration and Congress.

To educate & build Christian support for
Israel throughout America.
While millions of evangelical Christians
support Israel, there are millions more
who do not. It is crucial to educate
Christians on the biblical and moral
imperatives of supporting Israel. CUFI
will pursue this goal through the
distribution of literature, DVD’s,
Middle East Briefing speakers and, most
importantly, holding annual Nights to
Honor Israel in communities throughout
the country.
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of Christians
United For Israel (C.U.F.I.) is to provide a
national association through which every
pro-Israel church, Para-church organization,
ministry or individual in America can speak
and act with one voice in support of Israel
in matters related to Biblical issues.
